The London Tango Quintet (pictured above) is a group of five internationally acclaimed musicians drawn together by a love of tango music and they are set to appear at The Apex, in Bury St Edmunds, early next month.

Violinist, David Juritz has performed on hundreds of film soundtracks, played tangos for BBC’s “Strictly Come Dancing” and hit the news when he busked around the world for charity.

Double bassist, Richard Pryce works with all the major orchestras and artists including Jamie Cullum, Shirley Bassey and Paloma Faith.

Craig Ogden is the most sought-after guitarist for chamber music in the UK and has regularly topped the UK’s classical charts.

Described by The Times as “a hurricane of musical invention”, accordionist Miloš Milivojević plays solo and works with leading opera companies, including Opera North.

Pianist/composer David Gordon tours world-wide as a jazz musician, harpsichord player and musical director.

Their debut recording “Dancing with Piazzolla” was selected as album of the week on Essential Classics, BBC Radio 3 in 2024.

Music by the legendary Argentinian composer Astor Piazzolla is interspersed with stunning instrumental solos, traditional tango and original works composed specially for the group.

The result is an exciting, fiery, energetic and thoroughly enjoyable concert for fans of classical and jazz music.

The London Tango Quintet is at The Apex on Monday, February 10, at 7.30pm.
