Man dies after car he was driving collides with a wall in Needham Market

A man has died after the car he was driving collided with a wall in Needham Market.

The death is thought to have been caused by a medical episode prior to the collision which happened at just after 2.25pm yesterday afternoon, Monday, January 27.

He was driving a blue Skoda Karoq which collided with a wall in Hurstlea Road, near the junction with Ludbrook Close.

Ambulance crews were also in attendance, but the driver of the car – a man aged in his 70s – was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police said today that it is currently believed that he suffered a medical episode prior to the collision.

The road was closed for just under three hours, reopening at 5.15pm.
