Suspected arson attack in Thurston

A suspected arson attack has taken place in Thurston after it’s thought a bottle containing a flammable liquid was thrown at a door of a property in the village.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the incident as they continue their investigations.

Officers  were called at just after 8pm yesterday, Wednesday, February 5, to reports of the suspected arson at an address on Smith Close.

It is understood that a bottle containing a flammable liquid was thrown at the door of a property causing a small fire which was quickly extinguished.

This followed reports of three men acting suspiciously in the area a short time beforehand.

The men left the scene in what is believed to be a white coloured Ford car.

The door of the property was damaged as a result of the incident but nobody was injured.
