Motorcyclist suffers serious injuries following collision involving a lorry near Newmarket

Emergency services are currently in attendance to a serious road traffic collision near Newmarket.

Police were called to the A142 Fordham Road, near Windmill Hill, on the approach to the A14 Newmarket Bypass at junction 37, to reports of a serious collision involving a motorcycle and a lorry.

The East of England Ambulance Service and air ambulance crew are both in attendance, and the A142 is currently blocked.

The motorcyclist has sustained a serious injury and has been taken to Addenbrookes’ Hospital, in Cambridge, for treatment.
