Cyclist hurt following collision on A134 at Assington

A cyclist has been hurt after being involved in a collision with a vintage vehicle which failed to stop

The incident happened at around 11.15am yesterday (Sunday, August 3) at Assington.

A male cyclist in his 30s was travelling towards Sudbury on the A134 near the junction with Boxford Lane when he was struck from behind by a vehicle. He suffered serious injuries and the driver failed to stop.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who might have witnessed the collision or who has any dashcam footage.

Officers are also appealing for the driver of the vehicle involved to come forward.

The vehicle which left the scene is described as a large black vintage car with large headlights, silver wing mirrors, wide wheel arches and thick spoked wheels.
