Man in court charged with manslaughter of victim at shopping precinct
A man has appeared in court today (Tuesday, August 26) where he was charged with manslaughter after a man who was assaulted in Bury St Edmunds died later in hospital.
Andrew Allen, 54, had been remanded in custody by Ipswich Magistrates charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm in the St Olaves Shopping Precinct on July 26.
The victim sadly passed away at West Suffolk Hospital later.
Subject to confirmation at formal inquest proceedings, he has been identified as Scott Lisney, aged 56, from Bury St Edmunds.
Allen, of Severn Road, Bury St Edmunds, appeared at Peterborough Crown Court where he was remanded in custody pending a further appearance in the same court tomorrow (Wednesday, August 27).
