Two people suffer serious injuries after their car overturns near Boxford

A motorist and his passenger have suffered potentially life threatening injuries follow a collision near Boxford.

Police officers were called to the A1071 Boxford Lane shortly after 12.15pm yesterday, Thursday, September 18, to reports of a single vehicle collision near the A134 junction.

A white Nissan Qashqai is reported to have left the road, collided with trees and bushes before it overturned.

The driver and passenger, a man and woman both aged in their 70s, sustained serious – potentially life threatening – injuries.

The pair were initially taken to West Suffolk Hospital, in Bury St Edmunds, by land ambulance for treatment, before being transported to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge, where they are described as being in a serious condition.
