Suffolk Chamber of Commerce hosted its second successful Leadership Unplugged event, an evening designed to inspire, connect and enable local business leaders to learn from the experiences of their peers.
The series showcases authentic stories of leadership, life and learning, offering practical insights alongside opportunities for discussion and networking.
The latest event, held on Thursday, October 9, featured Dan Everitt, the managing director at Mediterranean Shipping Company UK (MSC UK), who shared his leadership journey, reflecting on the challenges, growth and decisions that have shaped his career.
Attendees enjoyed an engaging talk, followed by a Q&A, networking and a tour of MSC UK’s Ipswich headquarters.
Suffolk Chamber is also proud to welcome MSC UK as its newest Patron.
As a global leader in shipping and logistics with a long-standing commitment to Suffolk, MSC UK’s partnership strengthens the Chamber’s network and underlines the shared ambition to support the county’s economic growth and business community.
John Dugmore, the chief executive of the Chamber, said: “Leadership Unplugged is a fantastic platform to hear directly from exceptional leaders like Dan.
“It’s about learning, sharing and being inspired, and we’re thrilled to see the series growing in both reach and impact.
“We’re especially proud to welcome MSC UK as our newest Patron. Their expertise, commitment to Suffolk, and engagement in events like this will bring real value to our members and the wider business community, alongside the continued support of all our Patrons who help drive our mission forward.”
Mr Everitt said: “It was a real honour to be part of Leadership Unplugged and to open our doors to so many inspiring local business leaders.
“Events like this create an invaluable space to share experiences, exchange ideas and strengthen the partnerships that drive growth and shaping Suffolk’s future.
“As a new Suffolk Chamber Patron, we’re proud to play our part in supporting and connecting local businesses.”
And David Woolnough, the finance director at MSC UK, added: “We are delighted to join the Suffolk Chamber as a Patron.
“Being part of this network allows us to share our experiences, contribute to the local business community, and collaborate with other organisations that are shaping the future of Suffolk.”
