Cathedral to host anniversary service for Bury Drop In

On Sunday, October 26, at 3.30pm, a special service will take place at St Edmundsbury Cathedral, Bury St Edmunds, to celebrate Bury Drop In and the work they do supporting homeless and vulnerably housed people.
The service will also celebrate 10 years of Bury Drop In and will be led by the Rev Canon Katy Cunliffe, Canon Precentor at St Edmundsbury Cathedral.
The service will include prayers to remember the lives of those who have died in the past year from the Bury Drop In community.
Bury Drop In is a Christian Charity, supported broadly by churches across the town and sustained by numerous local businesses, volunteers and organisations, including West Suffolk Council and Bury Town Council, that exists to care for and serve the homeless and vulnerably housed in Bury St. Edmunds.
The Rev Robert Green, chair of trustees, says, “We are delighted that St Edmundsbury Cathedral are once again hosting this service of celebration of the work of Bury Drop In.
“This year is extra special for us as we celebrate 10 years of the exceptional work Bury Drop In do in supporting some of the most vulnerable and marginalised members of our local community with understanding and love.”
The service will include music, readings and prayer and is open to all. Refreshments will be served after the service.
