Trio charged with series of offences in Newmarket
The Newmarket Community Policing team has been targeting shoplifting in the town and three people have been arrested, remanded and charged with various offences.
Stuart Hornsey, 37, of no fixed abode, was charged with two accounts of burglary with intent to steal from entering Tesco Express in the High Street on October 11 and 12. He has been bailed to appear at Ipswich Magistrates Court on November 26.
Simon Scott, 60, of no fixed abode, has been remanded in custody by Ipswich Magistrates until a hearing on November 7. He is charged with two counts of attempted theft of alcohol from MDs grocery store (October 12) and Tesco Express (October 16).
Scott is also charged with theft of alcohol from All Saints News & Wine on October 14 and theft of alcohol from Tesco Express on September 2. In addition, he faces a charge of theft of alcohol from Tesco Express on October 14.
Albano Droma, 34, of Sovereigns Quay, Bedford, has been charged with theft of various retail and cosmetic goods from Boots on October 24. Droma was remanded on bail by Ipswich Magistrates on this charge – and another charge of theft from Boots in Brightlingsea, Essex, on June 10 – until his next court appearance on November 26.
