Overnight closures of Orwell Bridge
A series of overnight closures of the Orwell Bridge on the outskirts of Ipswich are due to take place later this month.
It comes following work during the summer when National Highways replaced two westbound expansion joints on the structure.
They now to finish some remaining tasks.
The bridge will remain open to traffic over the next two weeks while the latest round of work is carried out, but there will be overnight lane closures on the following dates:
- Monday to Wednesday, November 17 to 19 – overnight westbound lane closure between 8pm and 6am.
- Thursday and Friday, November 20 and 21- overnight lane closure on the eastbound and westbound carriageway between 8pm and 6am.
- Monday to Thursday, November 24 to 27v – overnight westbound lane closure between 8pm and 6am.
