RSPCA appeals for help to make festive season extra special for animals at centre

The RSPCA Suffolk Central branch is asking for your help again this Christmas.
They will be looking after nearly 100 animals at their Martlesham Animal Centre during the festive season and want to make the season extra special for the animals that are facing Christmas without a new home.
The animals have been hard at work writing their Christmas Wish Lists and you can read these on the branch website at https://rspca-suffolkcentral.org.uk/festive-gift-appeal/.
So if you’re not sure what a guinea pig might like in their stocking or the ultimate treat for a cat – the lists will help.
Branch manager, Terry Cleaver, said “Although our team dedicate themselves to making life at our Martlesham Animal Centre as loving and comfortable as possible for our animal residents, it’s at times like this that a little extra joy is needed and we’d love to be able to treat them all.
“With budgets as tight as they are, we’re asking for your help to provide these treats as we need to focus our expenditure on essentials such as heating, vet care, medication, food and bedding.”
Parcels can be dropped into the Martlesham Animal Centre or any of the RSPCA charity shops in Felixstowe, Ipswich, Stowmarket and Bury St Edmunds.

Fundraiser, Lorna Goodwin said “We were overwhelmed with the response to our appeal last year, the public were so generous, and we hope that they can rise to the challenge again this year.
“We have a real mix of animals currently with us, and we hope that every single one will receive a present this Christmas.”
