Another triumph for the Theatre Royal – the audience re-action is still ringing in our ears
We visited the Theatre Royal – Bury St Edmunds on Friday for the opening night of another In-house production from the Theatre Royal team. This one written by Author, Bea Roberts and directed by Owen Calvert – Lyon Artistic Director and CEO at the Theatre and what a brilliant evening it was.

A Sad, Funny, Poignant, Heartbreaking, No Holds Barred experience about a typically stubborn farmer who loved his animals and a troubled vet whose wife was leaving him for an Estate Agent and their endearing friendship through truly hard times.
The play is a two-hander with the stage brilliantly and creatively turned into a barn. The cast for the production of And Then Come The Nightjars features David Hounslow as Michael and Anthony Eden as Jeff. This production explores the intense bond between a farmer and a vet during the 2001 Foot and Mouth outbreak.

At the conclusion of the play the audience erupted with a spontaneous roar and continuous applause.
