Folk duo Megson to entertain children at The Apex later this month

Award-winning folk duo Megson (pictured above) are set to perform at The Apex, in Bury St Edmunds, later this month for an interactive concert specially with children.

The performance of traditional children’s folk songs and tracks from their albums “When I Was a Lad” and “Little Bird” is designed especially for youngsters aged one to seven (and their grown-ups).

Between each song, the performers playfully involve the audience, introducing ideas, the instruments and stories that will feature in the songs.

Comprising Debs Hanna (vocals, whistle, accordion) and Stu Hanna (guitar, mandola, banjo), Megson have been described as “the most original duo on the British folk scene” by The Guardian.

Four times nominated in the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and double winners of the Spiral Earth Awards, Megson have gained a reputation not only for their arresting and intelligent songwriting, but also for their exquisite musicianship and northern humour.
