Easter fun on offer at The Apex

Forget the eggs for a while, there’s some lovely fat-free family shows at The Apex, in Bury St Edmunds, in the Easter holidays.

Izzy Wizzy, let’s get busy – The Sooty Show comes to the town centre venue for two shows on Tuesday, April 7.

Joining the nation’s favourite bear will be Sweep, Soo, Butch, Ramsbottom and Scampi.

Completing the crew will be children’s comedy star Russ Brown and direct from Blackpool Tower Circus, Michael Jordan.

In amongst the fabulous mix of audience participation, music and chaos, there’ll be wonderful wizardry, thrills, spills and lots of laughs – but watch out for Sooty’s supercharged water pistol!

The following day (Wednesday, April 8) you can see The Dinosaur That Pooped.

When Danny and Dino’s favourite rock band are playing their last ever concert, they go on a quest to get the last two tickets. But nothing goes to plan. Will Dino’s rumbling tummy save the day?

Adapted from the best-selling books by Tom Fletcher and Dougie Poynter from McFly, the whole family will enjoy new songs by Tom and Dougie, a lot of laughs and a whole lot of poo!

There’s music, animation, storytelling and circus in Britten Sinfonia’s Family Concert on Sunday, April 12.

Wanting to prove to his brothers and sister that magic really exists, Leon volunteers to be in Abdul Kazam’s magic show and gets transported to a mysterious world, filled with rabbits, doves, playing cards and magician’s assistants.

Aimed at ages four to 11, “Tales from the Circus”, an enchanting adaptation of the children’s book “Leon and the Place Between”, written by Angela McAllister and illustrated by Grahame Baker-Smith, with music by Paul Rissmann and animations by Victor Craven.
