Comedian Gregor Fisher to take to the stage at The Apex next month

Probably forever known as Rab C Nesbitt, Gregor Fisher (pictured above) will be taking to the road for a UK tour, starring as himself, and he is due at The Apex, in Bury St Edmunds, next month.

You can join the Scottish stage and screen legend for a laughter-filled evening of conversation.

He’ll share stories and anecdotes from his life and career and take questions from the audience.

Back in 1986, Gregor was cast in the BBC comedy sketch show, “Naked Video” (which started as the radio show “Naked Radio”).

This saw the creation of some of his finest characters, such as string-vested drunkard Rab C. Nesbitt and The Baldy Man, the vain half-wit with an unconvincing comb-over.

The Rab C. Nesbitt character became so popular that in 1988, he was awarded his own show “Rab C. Nesbitt”, which notched up 10 series.

While “The Baldy Man”, who is particularly associated with two Hamlet cigar adverts, also obtained his own eponymous spin-off series.

Gregor has since gone on to star alongside Al Pacino in “The Merchant of Venice”. and as Bill Nighy’s manager in “Love Actually” and most recently in the BBC sitcom “Only Child”.

Joined by his friend, theatre director Nigel West, the show promises to be an evening with plenty of laughs, a few surprises, and a bit of honesty about the “daft and wonderful journey” Gregor has had over the decades.
