Annual Sale Trail event set for Drinkstone in May

Households around Drinkstone are set to open their garages to sell a range of items as part of the village’s annual Sale Trail.

The event is being held on Saturday, May 2, from 9.30am to 2.30pm, and some of the wares will also be sold from table tops in the Village Hall (pictured above) where visitors will find further stalls selling a variety of items including white elephants, books, home-made cakes and mouth-watering refreshments.

Toilet facilities (including for the disabled) and limited car parking is available on the Village Hall site.

Sue Foulsham, the chairman of the Trustees of Drinkstone War Memorial Institute (Village Hall) which are behind the organisation of the event, said: “It is always a fun day which regularly attracts visitors from near and far so please do come along and bag some bargains while enjoying the fresh air of our sleepy Suffolk village.”

Proceeds from the day go to Drinkstone Village Hall funds and admission is free with maps on sale to help people around the village.
