Hedgehog lovers foraged around and donated more than 230 prizes to a special raffle that raised more than £1,700 for the hedgehog hospital.
Workers at UK Power Networks in Barton Road, Bury St Edmunds, rallied to a plea from colleague Jana Kosikova, who volunteers at the Suffolk Hedgehog Hospital, in Ousden, near Newmarket, and bought tickets for the raffle.
The hospital rescues and rehabilitates over 1,000 hedgehogs every year and provides vital care for the nocturnal creatures that are “vulnerable to extinction”.
The final sum included a donation of £500 from UK Power Networks.
Jana said: “Everyone at the company was very generous and supportive and bought lots of tickets. Every penny will support the hospital’s work.”

Jana is so commited and does amazing job for hedgehogs.
Proudly can say she’s a friend from work and a soul mate, as we both: “don’t do people ;-)”
Well done all, we must look after our lovely hedgehogs
