Easter Egg draw raises over £1,000

After counting the cash from this year’s Easter Egg draw, Mid Suffolk Rotary has announced that the event raised nearly £1,125 to support local charities.

The club has extended its thanks to the many local outlets who hosted and raffled the eggs. 

The Stag pub, in Bury Street, Stowmarket, was once again the top contributor.

The annual draw has been running since the early 2000s and has raised many thousands of pounds for good causes over the years.

The photograph (above) shows one of the Easter eggs that served as a prize.

Mid Suffolk Rotary meet every two weeks on a Thursday evening at the Four Horseshoes, in Thornham Magna.
