A14 fatal collision victim named

A man who died following a collision on the A14 at Bury St Edmunds is being named by police.

Officers were called at 2.26am on Thursday, May 7, to reports of a collision involving a lorry and a pedestrian on the eastbound carriageway.

The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Subject to confirmation at formal inquest proceedings, the deceased has been identified as David Green, previously known as David Biggs, aged 76, of Bacton.

Officers are continuing to appeal for any witnesses that haven’t already spoken to the police.
