Man due in court charged with supplying drugs totalling more than £2m
A 35-year-old man is due in court today (Thursday, August 6), charged in connection with drugs supply offences following a vehicle stop near Stowmarket.
At approximately 5:30pm on Tuesday, August 4, officers from the West Sentinel team had cause to stop a white van travelling on the eastbound A14.
A search of the vehicle was conducted under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act and officers seized a large quantity of cocaine, with an estimated street value of more than £2 million.
The driver was arrested and taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
Arminas Sotikovas, of Riverside Road, in Ipswich, was subsequently charged with possession of class A drugs with intent to supply and is due to appear before Ipswich Magistrates’ Court (pictured above).
