Suffolk Chamber of Commerce appoints new Vice President

Suffolk Chamber of Commerce has appointed Jo Kreckler, (pictured above) group communications director at Greene King, as its new Vice President.

Greene King is one of Suffolk’s largest employers, with a long history in the county and a presence in nearly every town and village across Suffolk.

The business really supports the local economy by creating job opportunities and supporting businesses through its supply chain.

Jo’s role will give the hospitality, retail and manufacturing supply chain a direct voice at the Chamber’s board table, helping to bring the experiences and priorities of these important sectors into wider discussions about Suffolk’s economy.

The appointment also creates further opportunities for Suffolk Chamber and Greene King to work more closely together, particularly around the issues affecting businesses across the county.

Speaking about her appointment, Jo said: “I’m proud to be appointed Vice President of Suffolk Chamber of Commerce and to help champion a county with such an ambitious and diverse business community.

“Suffolk is a brilliant place to live, work, invest and do business, and is home to independent businesses, major employers and exciting growth sectors.

“The Chamber has a vital role to play in backing that success through connecting businesses, supporting skills and ensuring Suffolk’s business voice is heard where it matters.

“I look forward to working with Catherine, John and business leaders across the county to help Suffolk businesses grow, thrive and realise their potential.”

Catherine Johnson, President of Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, said: “On behalf of Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, I am delighted to welcome Jo as Vice President.

“Jo will be a tremendous asset to Suffolk Chamber, bringing valuable insight and experience that will support our work on behalf of businesses across the county. I look forward to working closely with her as we continue to help shape a strong future for Suffolk’s economy.”

Jo takes on the Vice President role at a time when businesses across the county continue to face a range of challenges and opportunities.

Her experience at one of Suffolk’s largest employers will add another perspective to the Chamber’s work supporting and representing the county’s business community.
