Two men have been arrested following a suspected arson attack in Langham which resulted in the loss of £30,000 worth of straw bales.
The incident took place on Saturday, September 7, at around 11pm in a rural location near Walsham Road, Langham, near Ixworth.
A number of straw bales were ablaze in what is suspected to be an incident of arson. Suffolk Fire and Rescue attended the scene and dealt with the fire. The estimated value of the property destroyed is thought to be in the region of £30,000.
Police yesterday, Tuesday, September 11, arrested two 22-year-old men, one from Bury St Edmunds and one from Newmarket on suspicion of arson. They were taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning but have now been released under investigation whist enquiries continue.
