The Hotel Folk, who own and operate six properties across Suffolk’s coast and countryside, are working towards re-opening from July 4.
Looking forward to welcoming guests again, The Hotel Folk CEO David Scott said: “Whilst things are changing daily, and the Government has yet to release the final legislation for the hospitality sector, we have not let this stop preparations for our guests safe return. Our Hotel Folk have been busy spring cleaning and working hard to retain the balance between providing the best possible experience, whilst giving our guests the confidence to book a stay.”
Venues include the Brudenell and White Lion Hotels, which overlook the sea at Aldeburgh; The Crown at Woodbridge, Crown and Castle restaurant with rooms in Orford and The Swan at Lavenham Hotel and Spa as well as the Thorpeness Golf Club & Hotel.
“Some changes have been made to adhere to the two-metre social distancing guidelines with tables well-spaced throughout the restaurants and room service as an option. We have redesigned our menus and moved away from buffet style service with dishes prepared to order. Extra steps are being added to enhance the collection’s already high standards of hygiene and to protect guests and our teams. More time is being allowed between check-in and check-out to allow a deeper clean of our bedrooms and all popular touchpoints are regularly sanitised as well as sanitiser stations around the hotels,” he added.
Both the Swan at Lavenham and Crown and Castle at Orford will be offering take away fish and chips, while the Sea Spice Indian restaurant at Aldeburgh’s White Lion will provide a delivery service to local residents. Weavers’ House Spa at The Swan remains closed but telephone order for gifts and beauty products are welcome to spa at home.
Understanding that flexibility is currently an important factor when booking a break away, the Hotel Folk have introduced a “no strings attached” offer with no deposit and free cancellation up until 2pm, 48 hours prior to arrival across all their venues. This is available on three different break options including dinner, bed and breakfast; room only or bed and breakfast.
