Duck killed by dog after being struck by man with catapult or slingshot
A duck has been killed by a dog after being allegedly struck by a man with a catapult or slingshot.
The incident, which police have described as an act of animal cruelty, took place between 11am and 3pm, on Wednesday, April 13, at a duck pond off School Lane, near the Rugby Club, in Haverhill.
The man was walking a grey and white cocker spaniel dog and injured the duck before throwing it for his dog to chase and kill. The duck was then reportedly taken home by the man.
He is described as white, aged in his late 20s or early 30s, approximately 5ft 8ins in height, of stocky build and with blonde hair.
