Two teens bailed following stabbing incident in Onehouse
Two people arrested following a serious assault in Onehouse at the weekend have been released on bail.
Police were called at 6.40pm on Saturday, December 3, to reports of an incident occurring at a block of flats in Mistletoe Court.
Officers and paramedics attended the scene and located the victim – a male aged in his late teens – who had sustained two stab wounds to his abdomen.
He was taken to hospital for treatment where he remains in a stable condition, with his injuries not considered to be life-threatening or life-changing.
Two men, aged 18 and 19, were subsequently arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm.
They were both taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning and have been released on bail until Wednesday, March 1, pending further enquiries.
Detectives understanding of the attack is that the victim and suspects are known to each other. As such, it is being treated as an isolated incident with no threat to the wider community.
Any witnesses – including anyone who was driving in the area around the time of the incident with a dashcam in the vehicle – are asked to contact police if they believe they can assist with their enquiries.
