Man killed in fatal accident is named by police
Police today named the pedestrian who died in a road traffic collision in Newmarket.
Officers were called at approximately 8.40pm, on Christmas Day, to reports of a male pedestrian being involved in a collision near the A142 junction.
Air ambulance and fire services also attended the collision, but the pedestrian was sadly declared deceased at the scene.
Pending formal coroner’s inquest proceedings the deceased has been provisionally identified as Leroy Lynch, aged 30, from the Newmarket area.
