Date set for Aled Jones to appear at The Apex next month
The boy who captivated the world with his angelic voice on “Walking in the Air”, from the animated film “The Snowman”, has spent an incredible 40 years in the business and is to appear at The Apex, in Bury St Edmunds, next month.
Equally at home on the classical stage or starring in West End musical theatre shows, Aled Jones (pictured above) is also an award-winning television broadcaster and radio presenter.
He will be hitting the road this autumn with a one-man show that features never-before-heard music and tales from the decades.
Aled said: “I’m really excited about this tour. I’ll be telling stories about how it all began, then taking the audience on a journey through my career. There’ll be songs, there’ll be stories, and there’ll be one or two surprises.
“There’ll also be a book – it’s going to be a very busy 2024 and I can’t wait to get on the road and visit interesting places I’ve never visited before and, of course, see my wonderful fans.”
“There have been some incredible moments – meeting Royalty, playing concert halls all over the world, singing at Bob Geldof and Paula Yates’s wedding – and, of course, recording ‘Walking In The Air’, right through to Songs Of Praise and Classic FM.”
Aled’s credits also include lead roles in “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat”, “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” and Irving Berlin’s “White Christmas”.
Fans can enjoy that unmistakeable voice, as well as amusingly told stories, when Aled Jones stars at The Apex on Monday, September 9, at 7.30pm.
