Plea for Suffolk businesses to become corporate partners and support RSPCA

The RSPCA Suffolk Central Branch has launched a new corporate partnership scheme aimed at local businesses who could help support their hundreds of animals in need – while getting the chance to name animals at the animal centre, access volunteering days for their team and build vital connections within the community.

The branch’s new corporate partnership packages are designed to provide a simple way to make a big difference: from raising vital funds, to building awareness and offering much-needed help to animals in the process.

Businesses can support the branch through a bronze, silver or gold package – with prices starting at just £500 per year + VAT.

Benefits include corporate volunteering day for teams, a logo displayed on the charity’s website, discount off tickets to local RSPCA events, and access to animal welfare experts giving talks to local businesses for team building or away days.

Private tours of the charity’s Martlesham Animal Centre and the opportunity to name an animal resident at the facility are also potential benefits.

Whether it is a large or small business – everyone can help play a crucial role in the work of the branch which runs the Martlesham Animal Centre – and last year rehomed 300 animals.

As a small, independent charity, the branch needs to directly raise 95 per cent of the £1 million a year needed to fund its animal welfare work.

This includes the rehabilitation and rehoming of animals at its centre – but also helping pets through their welfare clinics, pop up food banks and neutering and microchipping support. It can cost £2,000 a week just to fund the animal centre alone.

Lorna Goodwin, corporate and community fundraiser for the branch said: “Our corporate partnership packages are designed to provide a simple way to make a big difference.

“We are so excited to be able to launch this scheme and we hope that businesses who already support charities will consider joining us as a partner and naming us as their charity for 2025.

“The project is designed to be an easy way for local businesses who may be considering which charities to support next year – but don’t have time for lots of fundraising activity – to have a clear pathway to help and get recognition for their generosity in return.”

She added: “Our new Corporate Partnership Scheme is great for businesses that would love to support animal welfare in their local community.

“We’re also keen to show our thanks for your support in any way we can, so we’ve included some unique rewards in our packages.”
