A14 to close next month for road surface repair work

A section of the A14 will be closed next month to allow workers to carry out road surface repair work.

It will take place on the westbound carriageway between junctions 46 and 47 in the Elmswell Woolpit area.

National Highways said the work is to take place over two nights from Monday, January 13 to Wednesday, January 15, between 8pm and 6am.

There will be diversions (indicated on the map above).

Traffic will exit at junction 47. At the roundabout, take the third exit onto the A1088. At the Woolpit Interchange, take the first exit to stay on the A1088. Take the first left turn onto Norton Road heading south, passing Tostock Animal Parks. At the T-junction, turn right onto The Street and merge onto the A14 where the diversion ends.
