Man assaulted by gang in Bury St Edmunds

A man in his 30s has been assaulted in the early evening in Bury St Edmunds.

The incident took place at garages off Oliver Road in the town between 6pm and 6.30pm on Wednesday, May 14, when a group of between two and four men attacked the victim, a man aged in his 30s, leaving him with serious injuries.

The attackers are believed to have been driving a metallic, silver/blue sports utility vehicle.

After the incident the suspects drove off in the direction of Westley Road.

The man was taken to hospital, where he currently remains.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
