Spotlight to shine on students’ work at End of Year Show

Final year students at the University of Suffolk are preparing to showcase their work to the public at their end of year show.
The Arts Degree Show, highlighting work from a variety of courses is open to the public from June 20 to 27 in the Arts Building at the University’s Ipswich campus (pictured above).
The showcase features work by students from degree courses in architecture, digital film production, graphic design, graphic illustration, photography and screenwriting.
Professor Stuart Harmer, Dean of School of Technology, Business and Arts at the University of Suffolk, said the show is a highlight at the University.
“The Arts Degree Show is the culmination of an immense amount of hard work across all of the courses and it is the perfect way to celebrate student achievement with the wider community.
“We really enjoy welcoming the public into the show and it gives them a real insight into what our students achieve during their time at the University of Suffolk.”
Nigel Ball, Head of Arts at the University of Suffolk, said: “It is always a pleasure to host the Arts Degree Show, something that has come to be an annual fixture in Suffolk’s cultural calendar.
“Housed in our Arts Building, and with a film screening in King Street Cinema we welcome everyone to come and celebrate our fantastic students and support the arts in Ipswich.”
Former students who have studied at the University and exhibited at the end of year show include artist Sammi Wong whose recently completed colourful giant mural can be seen on the side of Paul’s Silo on Ipswich Waterfront.
Opening times for the Arts Degree Show are 10am to 4pm from Friday, June 20 to Friday, June 27, and 11am to 3pm on Saturday, June 21.
