Resurfacing work set to take place on the A14 near Newmarket

Resurfacing work on the A14 near Newmarket is set to take place at the beginning of next month.

It is being carried out between junction 39 and 38 (Newmarket and Kentford) on two nights between Thursday, July 3 and Saturday, July 5, from 9pm until 6am the following day.

National Highways will close the westbound carriageway of the dual carriageway and divert traffic via the exit of the A14 at junction 39 near the Phoenix Bike Park, onto the B1506 and along the A1304 to Newmarket town centre to join the A142 Fordham Road and follow the A142 to junction 37 of the A14 (see map above).

A safety camera van will be present daily along the diversion route in Kentford to deter speeding.
