Work on resurfacing A14 moves onto eastbound carriageway
Work on resurfacing the A14 between Bury St Edmunds and Woolpit is progressing well National Highways have reported.
It is taking place overnight between junction 43 and 47a with the westbound section now completed.
Workmen are now set to move to the eastbound side of the carriageway to continue with the project.
This phase is due to start on Monday, June 30, and is expected to finish in early August with work taking place between 8pm and 6am, week nights.
T|he A14 will be closed during those times between junctions 43 and 47a including slip roads at various locations throughout the work. Traffic will be diverted as follows:
- Leave the A14 at junction 43 (Bury St Edmunds).
- Follow the A143 through to Scole.
- Then head south on the A140 to rejoin the A14 at junction 51 (Beacon Hill).
