Resurfacing work on A14 will result in long diversion route
Resurfacing work is set to take place on the A14 westbound between the Copdock interchange (junction 55) and Claydon (junction 52) later this month.
National Highways are planning to carry out the work over two nights from Tuesday, August 12, between 8pm and 6am.
It will result in the carriageway being closed with the diversion set to take drivers though Hadleigh and Sudbury before linking back to the A14 at Bury St Edmunds.
The diversion is as follows (see map above).
- Westbound traffic on the A14 must exit at junction 55;
- Join the A1214 and continue to the A1214/A1071 T-junction;
- Take the first exit onto the A1071;
- Continue along the A1071 through Hadleigh towards Sudbury;
- Join the A134 through Sudbury towards Bury St Edmunds; and
- At junction 44 (Bury St Edmunds) of the A14, rejoin the A14 westbound to continue your journey.
