A new Taco Bell Mexican restaurant has opened in Haverhill creating 15 new jobs.
Situated in Ehringshausen Way, next to the cinema and leisure centre, it will serve a host of offerings including Crunchwrap Supreme, Crunchy Taco Supreme and Volcano Burrito, alongside a range of vegetarian options.
Ian Cranna, the general manager of Taco Bell Europe, said: “We’re thrilled to expand Taco Bell into more areas across the UK.
“This new Haverhill Taco Bell being our first equity restaurant opening for the year and seventh since our last one in December, demonstrates our confidence in the market and sets the stage for future growth opportunities.”
The restaurant will be open from 11am to 11pm, seven days a week and has created 15 new jobs.
As West Suffolk Council owns the site, the tenancy will support the council’s strategic priority for sustainable growth which includes the regeneration of Haverhill town centre and also brings income to help pay toward the delivery of day-to-day council services in West Suffolk.
Indy Wijenayaka, the cabinet member for Growth at West Suffolk Council, said: “This new restaurant is the first Taco Bell in West Suffolk aside from those on the airbases.
“I am delighted that Taco Bell has chosen to invest and create jobs in Haverhill. It will add to the food offer available from the existing mix of restaurants in the town attracting both residents and visitors.
“Through this, it will add to existing footfall supporting the delivery of our own plans to improve, reinvigorate and regenerate Haverhill town centre for the benefit of our communities and local businesses.”
The new tenancy will also benefit communities across West Suffolk.
West Suffolk Council’s share of the council tax bill is about £200 a year for a band D household. But that makes up less than a fifth of what it actually costs West Suffolk Council to deliver its services. The remainder is made up of income such as from commercial property lettings, alongside investments, fees and charges.
Diane Hind, the council’s cabinet member for Resources, said: “I am pleased to welcome Taco Bell to Haverhill.
“This provides a new commercial tenant for our restaurant unit, supporting the local economy and wider plans for the town while also contributing income toward the costs of the day-to-day council services that we provide to residents across West Suffolk. It’s great to see Taco Bell open in Haverhill and welcoming their first customers.”
The new restaurant features the latest digital innovations to enhance the guest experience. Customers can enjoy free Wi-Fi, charging outlets, and comfortable seating, along with multiple ordering channels to make visits fast, easy, and enjoyable.
Guests can also sign up for Taco Bell Rewards through the app, where new members receive a complimentary Crunchy Taco. Members earn points that can be redeemed for free menu items and rewards, plus exclusive access to special offers and early releases. Customers can also skip the line by placing orders through the app before arriving at the store.
