Motor cyclist hurt and arrested after his bike crashed into a ditch

A motorcyclist ended up in a ditch after coming off the road in West Stow.

Police were called by the ambulance service at 2.54pm on Sunday, September 7, to reports of a single vehicle collision involving a motorcycle that went into the ditch on Icklingham Road, West Stow.

The ambulance service and air ambulance were in attendance.

The rider, an 18-year-old man, was taken to hospital for treatment having suffered a serious leg injury.

He was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drug driving.
