The Wandering Hearts to take to the stage at The Apex

The Wandering Hearts (pictured above) come to The Apex, in Bury St Edmunds, for the first time, with a seasonal show entitled  “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas”.

This British Americana-Folk trio are known for their harmonies and  songwriting, influenced by the likes of Simon & Garfunkel, First Aid Kit, Fleetwood Mac and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.

The Wandering Hearts burst onto the scene in 2015 after a chance introduction led to instant chemistry, a SoundCloud upload, and a record deal with Decca after just one gig.

Fusing three-part harmonies with folk, Americana, and songwriting, they quickly carved a space for themselves on both sides of the Atlantic.

They were the first British act to debut at both Nashville’s iconic Grand Ole Opry and the Ryman Auditorium in the same week, following an invitation from country legend Marty Stuart.

They’ve since returned to the Opry stage three times and joined Stuart at London’s Royal Albert Hall for the Opry’s 100th anniversary celebration.

Their debut album “Wild Silence” (2018) topped the UK Americana charts, earning widespread acclaim and the support of Bob Harris at BBC Radio 2.

Their self-titled second album followed in 2021, delivering a second consecutive No.1 and a UK Americana Awards nomination for Album of the Year.

“I was just blown away by them, by their harmonies their energy, their enthusiasm and of course the fantastic quality of their music,” said Harris.

Support comes from Newquay based indie-folk duo Our Atlantic Roots, who have had airplay on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Introducing and have shared the stage at festivals with the likes of Passenger, Tom Odell and Ward Thomas.

The Wandering Hearts are at The Apex on Monday, November 24, at 7.45pm.
