Cash donation and gifts for young people and families across Suffolk and Essex from house builder

A donation of £500 along with a collection of gifts for scores of children across Suffolk and Essex has been made by a housebuilder.

Taylor Wimpey has made the donation and gifts in support of the Kids Inspire Christmas Gift Appeal, (pictured above) helping vulnerable young people and families across the two counties during the festive period.

Kids Inspire is a children’s mental health charity offering free trauma support to children, young people and families who would otherwise be unable to afford it.

Working closely with councils and schools, the charity provides early intervention for those facing emotional and mental health challenges.

This year’s appeal comes at a time of growing demand.

The need for Christmas hampers increases by around 20 per cent each year, with Kids Inspire expecting to support over 4,000 young people this Christmas alone.

Taylor Wimpey has a longstanding relationship with the charity, having previously supported its Christmas present drive last year.

Building on this partnership, colleagues came together to donate gifts alongside a £500 contribution, helping ensure more children can experience a brighter Christmas.

Paula Ashfield, the head of fundraising at Kids Inspire, said: “The demand on our Christmas Gift Appeal grows every year, and support from partners like Taylor Wimpey makes a real difference.

“For many, Christmas can be an especially tough time. Their generosity helps us reach more children and young people facing significant challenges, and for some families, this will mean their child has a gift to open on Christmas Day.”

Michael O’Leary, the regional operations and sales director at Taylor Wimpey London, said: “We’re proud to support Kids Inspire and the essential work they do to help children and families across Essex and Suffolk.

“The Christmas gift appeal is a simple but powerful way to bring comfort and joy to young people who may be facing very difficult circumstances and our teams were delighted to get involved once again.”
