A14 closed for resurfacing work on same day that Ipswich Town and Hull City clash at Portman Road
The A14 at Stowmarket will be closed to traffic heading towards Ipswich on Tuesday (March 3) as work is set to be carried out on the dual carriageway.
National Highways have announced that they are planning to carry out resurfacing work on the A14 eastbound between junction 49 and 50.
The work is due to be completed overnight on Tuesday, March 3, the same day that Ipswich Town take on Hull City in a crucial Championship clash at Portman Road.
However, fans coming away from the stadium should not be severely effected by the work as they come away from the ground heading west towards Bury St Edmunds and Cambridge.
A diversion will be put in place taking traffic off the A14 at Tot Hill junction 49.
Motorists will then take the second exit onto the A1308 towards Stowmarket tow centre then the A1120 to rejoin the A14 at junction 50.
A map of the diversion can be found above.
