Bures Post Office opens in new location

Bures Post Office has opened at Central Stores, 13 Bridge Street, in Bures. 

The branch had been temporarily closed since March due to the retirement of the postmaster.

The new opening hours are Monday to Saturday, 8.30am to 7pm.

This provides 63 hours of service per week, longer than the previous opening hours.

The new branch is approximately 60 metres away from the previous branch, which had been in Church Square. There is roadside parking outside and nearby.

Wendy Hamilton, Post Office Retail Change lead, said: “We know how important a Post Office is to a community and we are delighted to have re-opened this branch and with the benefit of longer hours than before.”
