Man jailed for three years for series of drug offences
A man has been jailed for drugs offences after being arrested by Suffolk Police’s Sentinel West team in Newmarket.
Aldo Dehari (pictured above) was given a three-year jail term at Ipswich Crown Court after admitting being concerned in the supply of cocaine.
Officers had detained the 35-year-old, of Snakes Lane, Woodford Green, in London, while he was driving a car in Newmarket on September 26.
He was charged with being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and remanded in custody by Ipswich Magistrates on September 27 and appeared at the Crown Court on October 25.
The investigation was led by officers from the Sentinel West team.
Sgt George Laflin said: “We are pleased that Dehari has been jailed which means he will be off our streets.
“This result highlights that robust action will be taken against those who are identified distributing drugs, which impact our local communities. I am proud of the team who worked hard to obtain the evidence required to secure a conviction.”
The three Sentinel teams across the south, west and eastern areas of the county provide enhanced coverage of Suffolk’s road network to proactively disrupt serious and organised criminal activity as well as increase police visibility.
